“We have been in the fly-in business for over 20 years and logistics are always a strong consideration with any supplier.  We recently made the switch to Northern Meats, and we were thoroughly impressed with all aspects of their operation!  Not only did we save over 20% on our food budget in that first year, but we were constantly ordering high quality name brands that cost less than other suppliers’ house brands!  Our guests were especially impressed with the high quality steaks we were serving.  

The real gift was that the service was something we weren’t accustomed to.  The food was always delivered twice a week as promised.  There were very few slipups, but if they occurred it was handled professionally and corrected quickly.  This was not only very appreciated, but said a lot about the company’s commitment to the customer.  John was wonderful and the communication between us was very easy and frequent... Kasba Lake Lodge

Kasba Lake Lodge has been dealing with Northern Meats since July 2008. We are a remote, five-star, fishing lodge in the Northwest Territories. The food we serve is a huge part of our business and needs to be absolutely top quality.

When we first decided to investigate our supplies out of Winnipeg, we were more than nervous. Finding good suppliers that pay attention to detail is most difficult to find. After initially speaking to Peter Spicer, we decided it would be worth our while to meet with the operations people of Northern Meat Services. When we arrived we were introduced to Russ, the owner, and he quickly made us feel as if we were a customer of his for 20 plus years. Our trust in their company was immediately felt. They made us feel like family.

We initially thought they were a meat service company only, but soon realized that there was not anything that they couldn’t supply us with. Pricing met our expectation , and the quality was outstanding. Being a remote fly in fishing lodge, fresh produce at high quality is difficult to find, but they were able to produce that.

Having been in the Food Service Industry for many years, Northern Meat Services has always been there for me. Even though the Company itself has expanded over time, they still have a small business attitude towards their customers . If they don't have it, they will find it and deliver it to you.
